Mike Vernon Now Has an MSc in Manufacturing Leadership
Mike Vernon, Production Manager at AD Aerospace, part of AD Group, has recently been awarded his masters degree as one of the first set of graduates to complete The Manufacturing Institutes MSc in Manufacturing Leadership. Mike was completed the 2 and a half year course supported throughout by AD Aerospace as part of its ongoing commitment to staff training and improvement as recognized by its Investors in People status.

The modules and dissertations on the course have all reflected real life within the company and have already lead to procedural improvements and cost savings.
The Manufacturing Institutes MSc in Manufacturing Leadership was developed in partnership with Lancaster university Management School for those driving lean and competitive manufacturing businesses. The course uses a combination of academic insights with industry know how to deliver content applicable to and based on real life business challenges.
The course has helped me see and think more strategically, to understand how decisions are made and why projects and indeed companies succeed or fail, said Mike Vernon, Production Manager, AD Aerospace Ltd. It has help me greatly improve my awareness of the different departments within the company and how they must work together as a whole for a company to succeed and reach its potential.
